    Hi all,

I have been trying to install Windows 11 on Workstation 17.6.2 for a couple of days and am running into the following issues:

Windows Installation continues to 50% or so and then reboots and either wants to boot from CD (which restarts the installation from beginning) or keeps going to Boot Manager.

I read that switching to BIOS boot in Options>Advanced helps, but that option is greyed out.  I googled it and someone said that if I remove Trusted Platform Module under the Hardware tab, then I can choose BIOS, which worked.  But then Windows installation fails with error "This PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements".

Please advise what I can do to fix this issue, thank you!

I have the same problem here, the installation starts and after it restarts the first time for some reason the boot manager can never boot from the disk that was just installed and keeps throwing me at the bootmanager screen.

    Hey Shahgols,

I had the same issue this morning. Was the first time I attempted to install Windows 11.

Not sure if this will work for you...

I was using the English International Win11 Iso.

The two things I did different to get it working:

    1. Downloaded US Version
    2. Disabled the NIC on boot (so I could disable the requirement for logon to M$oft account and just use local)

That got around the issues that you discussed.

Again not sure if I jagged it... I am not expert.

Good luck and if this works for anyone else, please do post here too...

Have you tried creating bootable media (i.e. a bootable USB, portable drive, etc) with Rufus? Using Rufus, you can check the options for Windows 11 to ignore checking for minimum requirements like CPU, amount of RAM, and if there is a TPM module or not. It works like a charm.

Hi, thank you so much! Your advice set me on the right path, and it eventually worked. I downloaded the app from the Windows 11 download page that creates an ISO file, and I successfully created one. This did the trick, and I was able to install Windows 11 without any issues. Thanks again!

Maybe a bad burn or download? Or old BIOS or bad BIOS-configs.

    What I do:

    - use 17.5.2 in the first place. Don't know about ALL the problems the later ones have.
    - have Pro version Download. Have a late version.
    - use .iso -image ... I have NEVER used a device through VMware, when 99% of cases an ISO image is available. It is much more reliable and faster.
    - have Network ON, it doesn't finish without that. I mean in NAT networking.
    - first create the VM without loading OS. Then go to VMware Options and check that they are OK, like networking in NAT and 3D acceleration OFF (initially). Then boot up. You can try out different options after your system works.
    - being able NOT to give Microsoft Account, requires some stuborness when going back and forth in the menus where it is asked

There was also a mention about Rufus in this conversation. I used that with beta versions of Win 11. Worked fine, but it is not necessary anymore (at least if you have TPM).
