    Hi all

Is it possible to use vSphere Replication between different ESXi versions? the scenario is as follows.

    Source Site:

    vCenter 6

    SRM 6

    Replication Appliance 6

    ESXi 5.5

    Target Site:

    vCenter 6

    SRM 6

    Replication Appliance 6

    ESXi 6

I understand that vCenter, SRM and the VRA must match and vSphere Replication 6 is compatible with ESXi 5 upwards and it's the vSphere host in the source location that replicates to the VRA rather than a target ESXi host so it should work but I wanted a definite yes/no.

    Thanks

This is a supported configuration. Remember that if you would like to use new VR features such as Linux quiescing or Network compression, you would need to have ESX 6 at source site as well.
