  • 1.  vRA 8.6 onboard VM does not assign IP in Network IP addresses

We are migrating from 7.6 to 8.6 and have not got to the point where we are ready to switch over. vRA 7.6 is still being used to provision VMs. New VMs created in old vRA have to be onboarded to new vRA, but doing this does not allocate the IP address. This means the IP address it is available for new deployments in vRA 8.6.

Is there a way to manually set onboarded VMs' IP addresses as "Allocated" in vRA 8.6 IP Address range?

Did you find a way to accomplish this? We are running into the same issue.

I can't remember what I did to fix it. Something in the network profile that needed to be set when onboarding made it happen. I think it was matching the custom properties from the old to the new in the onboarding plan. The only problem now is deleting onboarded deployments doesn't remove the IP address. We have to do that manually
