I have always used VMware Workstation Pro on Windows 10 without any issues. Recently, I upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 (with Personal Use version 17.6.1-24319023), but no virtual machine works, not even a newly created one.

And I get the following error:

VMware Workstation cannot connect to the virtual machine. Make sure you have rights to run the program, access all directories the program uses, and access all directories for temporary files.Failed to connect pipe to virtual machine: The system cannot find the file specified.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks, Andrea

Make sure you have installed Windows Hypervisor Platform:

If it doesnt help uninstall Vmware Workstation and reinstall.

Although this is a solution for Windows 11, but if you run Windows 10 N edition it'll help as well: You could try this: https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/qk4ot7/comment/hjgzceh/
