  • 1.  VMWare Fusion 13.6: broken NAT after upgrade to macOS Sequoia

    Posted 24 days ago

    Hi,

I upgraded to macOS Sequoia yesterday evening, and NAT stopped working in my VMs (Ubuntu 22.04, Windows 10).

Can anyone confirm this issue? Or maybe has a solution?

    Thanks,

    Peter

I'm not seeing this after upgrade on my Apple Silicon Mac. What macOS version were you running before upgrade, and what Mac are you running?

You might want to collect and post a quick support bundle. It might contain info that might give a clue about what might be happening.

Windows 10 networking works for me via Mac mini 2018 Intel running Sequoia 15.0 and VMware Fusion 13.6.0. Some folks have had trouble with macOS built-in Firewall and disabling it or maybe updating an older Little Snitch version has fixed it (macOS firewall is not useful or needed anyway).

I'm running with the macOS firewall enabled with no problems on my M1 Mac mini. But @wywh brings up a good point about making sure any third party software that touches the network stack such as Little Snitch is up to date and/or compatible with Sequoia.

It's not Sequoia, it's the version of vfusion. I upgraded to Sequoia on 2 of my MACs, then on 1 MAC I upgraded to vfusion 13.6 and then NAT was broken.
