We are pleased to announce the release of VMmark 4.0.3.
VMmark 4.0.3 is a patch release and includes the following fixes and improvements:
• New VMmark4-Run-NMONVisualizer mechanism to enable optional ESXTOP post processing on the prime client. See the VMmark User's Guide for details
• New optional mechanism to run Disclosure Creator as part of the benchmark execution. Enabled by default via properties file parameter DisclosureCreator
• New optional mechanism to temporarily disable DRS during specific setup and reporter harness routines to minimize the likelihood that a VM is being migrated during collection and was missing from some reports. Enabled by default via properties file parameter ReporterDisableDRS
• New version.txt file within the VMmark4 directory
• Weathervane improvement for CSI users (now uses names that include tile numbers) and improvements to CNS Datastore permissions/roles
• Weathervane improvements for detecting postprovision errors and error messages
• NoSQLbench improvements for error handling and identification
• Tilescore and harness updates to improve error reporting and non-compliance identification for some runs without valid scores
• Reporter enhancements and minor fixes
• MiscInfoTimeout increased to 900 seconds to better enable some operations in slower environments and other minor updates to the VMmark properties files
• ConfigChecker updated to include NTP sync check
• VMmark 4 service updates for more verbose error messages, additional log details, improved password masking and minor logging improvements
Please note:
- This release does require that users redeploy their environments. For details, please see the available release notes and updated VMmark User's Guide available within the VMmark downloads page
- VMmark 4.0.2 End of Life: We encourage users to switch to VMmark 4.0.3 beginning today, but we will continue to accept VMmark 4.0.2 submissions until August 27, 2025, which is 90 days after the general availability of VMmark 4.0.3.
