  • 1.  VM slowdown

    I am not sure if this is the correct place for this. 

    I have been running VMware since v7. I am now running v17.6.3 the latest version. I updated my windows 11 host and now my VMs are running extremely slow. Cursoring up in a text document can take a couple of seconds. 

    Can anyone help?

    I don't know the generic answer to these kinds of problems. But it would help if you would tell what is your hardware architecture and what exactly are the VMs. Intel and AMD are not the same with the current Win OS and VMware.

    I have a slowdown on Windows XP 32bit guest.

    Try "mks.enableDX12Presentation=FALSE" on your guest.vmx or c:\Users\[MyAccount]\AppData\Roaming\VMware\preferences.ini.

    This might solve the problem.
