is the server booting up or just you are not able to see in the right hand pan of vcenter, i mean did you check the status of virtual machine through commands whether the machine is started. Sometimes, even if machine is started you dont see the screen and it remain blank.

Also, try to get into bios if its possible for you to do it.

But when I do "vim-cmd vmsvc/get.guestheartbeatStatus "vmid" red.

For other vm's heartbeat status is green.

    Output of "vim-cmd vmsvc/get.summary "vmid"

Can you post the vmware.log when you try to open a console. something like mks.c should be triggered when you open a remote console

are you getting any mks connection error on the top of the blank screen?

    Good day,

Can you RDP to the VM in question?

What services does the VM run? What happened to the VM to require a restore from a backup?  Have any changes been made to the VM recently?

    Cheers,

    Mike
