VLAN Tagging to Test NSX in VMware Workstation

Hello

I'm setting up a home lab to test VMware VCF and NSX on VMware Workstation, and I need two virtual switch/router appliances that:

• Support VLAN tagging and trunking

• Can handle 10G throughput

• Are easy to manage

I've already tried:

• Cisco IOSv – but I'm running into performance limitations

• MikroTik CHR – requires a license to unlock full 10G performance

Do you have any recommendations for virtual appliances that meet these needs? Ideally something lightweight and with a simple UI or CLI.
