You can create the report and ACC that view. And that's all.

I am looking at Inventoyy and see that I can drill down to an individual host and see the version but that wont help. I have hundreds of hosts and need to see them all with version together..

There are OOTB views to get this information:
You can use "Host Inventory" view which displays the ESXi version, for example 8.0.3-24280767.
For vCenters you can use "vCenter inventory" view which displays the vCenter version, for example 8.0.3-24322831.
It gives you also additional information in those views. You could also leverage those views and make a custom dashboard that suits your needs.

I recently installed Aria. Initially it was to replace some of the functionallity we lost with the retirement of the Skyline Collector tool. One thing I need it to get a view or report that shows the patch levels of all hosts and VCenters.
I have looked but cant find anything like that. Our compliance team used that information in skyline and are now on us to replace that ability.
Thanks
