  • 1.  VDDK error: Unable to find the virtual disk.

    Hello,

    I have ESX 3.5 and VC 2.5

    when I try to mount vmdk file through VC, i get error as follows.

    VMware-mount (Release) - build-99018

    Using system libcrypto, version 9070CF

    Unable to find the virtual disk '
    MICA04\OD-QCS03.vmdk'.

    Use "VMware-mount /?" for usage information.

    In another case I get error:

    VMware-mount (Release) - build-99018

    Using system libcrypto, version 9070CF

    VixDiskLibVim: TicketLogin

    WSAEventSelect() on closed socket, ignoring.

    WSAEventSelect() on closed socket, ignoring.

    WSAEventSelect() on closed socket, ignoring.

    WSAEventSelect() on closed socket, ignoring.

    Warning: VixDiskLibVim: Login failure - VixError = 0.

    Client: Unable to get a VIM ticket for this virtual disk.

    Please tell me what I am missing?

    Looks like there is a mixing up of local disk path with remote mount. Can you post the command line?
