VCF ESXI All flash drive

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get an answer to the following question:

When deploying VCF using builder, how does builder determine which drive will be used for cache , and which drive will be used for capacity, assuming we have an esxi hosts with all flash drives:  250SSD, 500SSD, 800 SSD?

VCF when deploying vSAN OSA ,  will compare  two unique disk sizes.
VCF will compare to determine which ones are used for  cache and capacity. The smaller size disks are used as cache and larger ones are for capacity.
having 3 drives with different sizes in a vSAN node may cause problems

Yes, VCF compares disk sizes when determining cache vs. capacity in vSAN OSA.
Having three different-sized SSDs per host can cause inconsistency, and potentially break automation in VCF.
To prevent issues, stick to uniform and predictable disk layouts - ideally, one cache SSD (smallest), rest for capacity.
