  • 1.  VCF Cluster stretch failed - How to retry?

    Posted Dec 09, 2024 12:37 PM
    Hello,

I am trying to stretch a new VCF Management Cluster. I followed the official instructions from the documentation (Stretch a vSAN Cluster in VMware Cloud Foundation). Unfortunately, I had a transposed number in the IP pool configuration for the NSX overlay in the JSON file, which is why the stretching of the cluster failed.

If I now try to stretch the cluster via the API (Patch Cluster) with the new JSON specification, it fails immediately because the cluster is already stretched.

Message: Failed to validate Stretch Cluster Spec
    CLUSTER_ALREADY_STRETCHED

Any idea how I can restart the stretching process and complete the open subtask with the new specifications?

    kind regards
    Simon

Hi I think you required UN-stretched the cluster
