  • 1.  VCenter / Netapp Monitoring

    I am looking to do some basic monitoring on my DataCenter.  I am looking for a single tool that will monitor the following:

    Host

    CPU Utilization

    Memory Utilization

    Virtual Machines

    CPU Utilization

    Memory Utilization

    Available Storage Capacity

    NetApp

    Available Space per Volume

    Anyone know a good (not horribly expensive) monitoring tool that will work for me?

    Check out LogicMonitor, they do vmware and NetApp monitoring well, and for a reasonable price.  The NetApp volume monitoring gives latency metrics on reads and writes, which is arguably just as important as usage..

    vCenter Ops will do this easily, as will NetApp's own Balancepoint product.
