    Hello,

I have created serveral VCB backups for a ESX 3.5, using VCB 1.5. My question is, what is the best way to restore these images.

I have read about using the service console, can you do it another way?

Because with the file level backup, I do see any need for this, as you can already see your data files.

    Thanks,

    Mike

You should use VMware vCenter Converter to restore VMs from backups.

You have two way to restore full image backup:

    • use VMware Converter from the VCB Proxy or where are the backup (I think that this is the most simple solution)

    • copy the image on a ESX and use vcbRestore command.
