I just ran into this as well. New laptop and need to reinstall VMWare Workstation 17. After getting into the new Broadcom portal, I'm not able to see my previous licenses or download again. I chatted with an agent as was told I have to have a valid Broadcom support contract. I purchased VMWare Workstation 17 less than a year ago through VMWare and have the original purchase email and everything, but the download link doesn't work anymore. Anyone know how we can download again?

Have you found a solution to this? I too do not have a corporate account for personal use.
How do we download the free version for home use. I need to update all three of my licensed v17 systems and several of my vm's before I can upgrade those to Win11.

The requirement to have a Site ID to get access to commercial licenses, even to purchase new licenses, seems to require, in turn, that you have a business web site to prove that you represent a commercial entity.
That chained requirement is a roadblock for me. As an independent consultant I influence the IT and development staffs of my clients based on testing that I conduct in isolated VMware Workstation Pro guest virtual machines. I occasionally submit technical support requests to VMware to resolve testing issues, usually related to host/guest OS compatibility.
So, I am searching for a reasonable way to obtain a Site ID so I can continue to purchase new commercial, supported licenses.

First, you are not going to see your VMware licenses on the new site unless you had an active support contract at the time of the migration. There are many customers that have an active contract and still can't get access to those entitlements. A phone call to Broadcom is the quickest way to try to get those entitlements reinstated, Don't waste your time with the online request forms to Customer Care - they don't seem to answer them
if you didn't have an active support contract, you will not be able to access those purchased perpetual licenses. Broadcom did not migrate those licenses over. They seem to think that we should have downloaded those perpetual licenses and product already, so they evidently want nothing more to do with those licenses. Not a good decision on their part. For Workstation (and Fusion) they will tell you to download the personal use product (which is the same download as the commercially licensed versions). Two problems with that: you don't have the commercial use license keys to make it properly licensed for commercial use and you only can download Workstation 17.x (which is worthless if you need an earlier version)
From my experience, you will need to make a phone call to Broadcom's support number to get a site ID and get your account straightened out in order to download the personal use product. The online forms to Customer Care are useless (they don't seem to respond to them) and you have no entitlement that allows you to open a technical support case.

Since everything got moved to Broadcom, I don't have any licenses on my name anymore, therefore unable to download.
Seems like i need to complete my profile, but when it's asking for an Site ID, I am getting lost.. The page on how to get it, doesn't exist,
and when I try to contact supports, I get unauthorized, so i can't create a ticket either.
Does anyone know how to sort this out, since i can't contact support at all.
Thank you
