Please provide details about this issue from the VM's vmware.log file.

Sorry, but that's not the vmware.log file that I need.

The on that I need is in the VM's .vmwarevm folder.

According to the log file, at least two .vmdk file contain errors.

To find out about the files' metadata sizes please run the following commands from within the VM's folder:

    ls -l > filelist.txt
    dd if="Virtual Disk-s010.vmdk" of="Metadata-Virtual Disk-s010.vmdk-1536.bin" bs=1536 count=1
    dd if="Virtual Disk-s011.vmdk" of="Metadata-Virtual Disk-s011.vmdk-1536.bin" bs=1536 count=1

Then compress/zip the two Metadata files along with the "filelist.txt" and the "Virtual Disk.vmdk", and attach the .zip archive to your next reply. Based on the results, I will then ask you to run additional commands to extract more metadata.

While Andrè helps you figure out how to repair that VM, I have another question. How did you take the backup of the VM that you restored from? I hope it wasn't a Time Machine backup.
