Thanks Technogeezer for the correction of what "support" might mean.
The resolution to call them, instead of something else, has also been given here multiple of times. It is wrong to assume that nobody cares and wrong to say that a resolution hasn't been given here. It is just not working ideally - like no sticky posts, for one thing.

@RaSystemlord - although you are correct that there is no support for the Workstation product, you can contact Broadcom for website access issues. Clearing up account validation issues counts as something you can contact Broadcom for. I alsoI agree that this is something that shouldn't have to be done and it's a serious problem with their account creation processes.
Try contacting Broadcom support via the phone numbers for your geographic region (don't try to open a "ticket" from the web site). Indicate you are having a web site access issue and not trying to open a support case for Workstation.

The actual sentiments that you have, have been mentioned here lots of times - they are not wrong per se. As for the resolution: there is no "support" since this is Freeware, even less "tickets". That happened in Nov 2024 - thus there is no segregation for "private" or "business use".
Don't know what this software company needs to say - it's a commercial, legal and strategic matter - but my personal answer, which I have mentioned here multiple times (without being banned) - is that you can load the software "from anywhere" (like archive.org or any other download site that you use and know to be safe). There is no difference to MANY other Windows software that you load from all around the Net. If you want security - don't use Windows at all, but use Linux - it is NOT a bad idea to have a virtualization laptop/workstation solely for virtualization purposes and use the corporate words/excels/teams somewhere else, if you must use them. That is what I used to do.
At the time when this thread was started, you could download EVERY version VMware Workstation/Player/Fusion from a vmware domain address, but of course they finally realized that it must be discontinued and took it out. Anyway, it is not there anymore.

Just the usual absolutely disgraceful way customers are treated whenever some giant corporate buys a smaller company. I have been a loyal VMWare purchaser for YEARS. Now, I have the same error. I can't even create a support ticket for this without getting an error that my user account can't be validated. I have tried all the methods on the forum to resolve this. So typical. When a larger company consumes a smaller one, they couldn't care less about the 'loyal user base' that came before.

Does anyone know the answer to my problem? Does anyone care?
The steps I took in attachments.
