initially installed weeks ago VMware-Workstation-Full-17.5.2-23775571.x86_64.bundle and it worked perfectly until it wanted to run an upgrade a few days ago
the log files seem to indicate a problem is a library module vmware-11894.log (/usr/lib/vmware/lib/libvmwareui.so/libvmwareui.so) this is either being referenced wrongly or is the wrong module for my system
The host is x86_64. AMD
