hi how are things?
I comment on my problem, for personal reasons (access to a necessary web page related to administrative procedures) I have to be with linux, that is, I cannot have windows because if or if, it has to be a windows with support for the page to load (it is a PC not upgradeable to windows 11, a second generation I5), well, I have a problem with the latest version of vmware, I comment on the problem, it turns out that I start vmware, I give the properties of the virtual machine, I give "mount disk" to a virtual disk in one of the linux virtual machines, I put my root password, I leave everything as it is and when I give mount it stays there without doing anything and does not do the mount command correctly (that is, the virtual disk folders do not appear)
The linux operating system that I am using is linux mint 22.1 (a modified version of ubuntu) with XFCE desktop, so my question is:
Is there any way to repair the mounting of virtual hard drives (make the disk mounting screen not stay with the mount stuck)?
What dependencies are needed for vmware-fuseUI to work?
Oh, and I have another question related to the disk mounting issue, in my Windows 11 virtual machines (which I have set to 4 GB of RAM and they work fine), the "mount disk" button appears grayed out and says that virtual hard drives cannot be mounted if they are encrypted virtual machines, so is there a way to mount virtual hard drives from virtual machines with artificial TPM while Broadcom perfects vmware for the issue of mounting disks from Windows 11 virtual machines?
Thank you very much for your help and best regards
