I know it has been said in several threads that you are working in supporting shared folders for Windows guests when running Fusion on Apple Silicon, but it's been several years now and I just wished to send a reminder that this is a very needed feature. Also, I've read in those threads that the implementation of shared folders in Intel guests was not free of problems: that was not my experience, I've been using shared folders for years with Fusion on Intel Macs, and they always worked perfectly for me.

I also know the workaround for using Samba for sharing a MacOS folder, but I tried it yesterday and I didn't like at all the security consequences that it has (you need to enable file sharing with full disk access for all users, what I consider an excessive risk). So for the moment I'm sticking to the drop files feature that you added to VMware Tools, but of course it's not a convenient path, specially when the data you want to drag is big, because it ends up being duplicated in both the VM and the Mac.

Kind regards, and please add support for shared folders soon!

I do agree with you that this feature is long overdue. I'd heard they were looking at re-writing the feature for performance and stability but have not heard recently how far along that effort was.
