Subject: Pasting files from VM to host in KVM mode fails with single monitor
Yes I have that set. The only difference is I have the hints turned off and F11 as the Hotkey (No Pause key on the Dells we use).
If you change the Hotkey does it still work(and you definitely don't have a second screen attached? (grasping at straws, I know).
I am running 17.6.3 however. Will upgrade and test.
Thanks
Neil

@Neil Midlane,
Verified this internally using VMware Workstation 17.6.4 on Windows HOS with a guest OS running in KVM mode. I wasn't able to reproduce the clipboard issue - copy/paste from guest to host worked consistently using the following steps:
Launch preferences via:
vmware-kvm.exe --preferences
Confirm that clipboard sharing options are enabled in the VMware KVM Preferences window.
Copy a file from the guest OS, switch back to host from KVM mode , then paste into the host OS.
Let us know if you're using different steps or settings.
Thanks and Regards,
Shruti

Subject: Pasting files from VM to host in KVM mode fails with single monitor
We have a very strange issue. With VMWare workstation 17.6.3 running on Windows 11 24H2 we are running various Windows VM's (7, 10 and 11) using KVM mode.
If I copy a file from the VM, use the hot key to get to the host and paste it, it fails. If I then attach an external monitor and try and paste again (without copying again) it pastes fine.
Anyone had a similar issue and know the solution?
Thanks in advance.
