New USB devices not seen

Fusion Version 10.1.1 (7520154)

macOS Version: 10.12.6 (16G1309).

Guest OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

Version: 10.0.16299 Build 16299

Error: The USB controller cannot be removed and compatibility cannot be changed until the virtual machine is shut down.

If you shut down and try to change USB you get an error telling you to start the VM before changing USB parameters.

Device I'm most in need of is a camera but happens on scanners too.

Devices shows up on Mac USB list of USB devices does not show up in VM list of USB hardware.

Any suggestion would be welcomed.

Broadcom absorbed the VMware KB articles into its own systems about a year and a half ago.. That's likely why a link contained in a 7 1/2 year old post no longer works.

Could you start a new thread and include details about your Mac, Fusion version, guest operating system,, the problem you are seeing, and the type of USB device you are trying to pass to the VM. That way the community can offer help and perhaps point you to a current KB article.
