    Posted 9 hours ago

I just configured a new windows Arm64 VM on my new apple silicon Mac mini.  There is no "sharing" option in the VM settings.  There are no network drives seen in File Explorer, yet there are 2 NAS's on my network.  Did I do sonething wrong in configuring the VM or can they not see NAS drives?  Thanks.

Is the network for this virtual machine set to "Share with my Mac" (aka NAT networking) or Bridged?

In order to see NAS devices on your network, you need to use bridged networking.

I switched to bridged mode. The NAS now shows up as a media device, not a file server. My Mac sees the NAS as a file server so I am certain the issue is on the windows side. Tried searching for the share and got an error that I didn’t have permission when I ran the troubleshooter.
