    Hello team!

I have checked the VMware compatibility matrix and found out that NetApp storage is missing when checking the "vVol Storage Replication" tab: https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=vvols&details=1&partner=64&vasaProfiles=F-285&page=1&display_interval=10&sortColumn=Partner&sortOrder=Asc

In NetApp's website, there is a Technical Report stating: "NetApp ONTAP has supported the VASA specification since its initial release in 2012. While other NetApp storage systems may support VASA, this document focuses on currently supported releases of ONTAP 9.".

    Source: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/netapp-solutions/virtualization/vvols-overview.html#policy-based-management

Is this enough to say NetApp is part of the supported systems? In that case, why does it not appear on the matrix?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi,

do you have from NetApp the driver for the version VMware ESXi that you use?

Without it installed, it will not work.

You need to instal this driver or some VM which will support you the needed functions.

Look at NetApp support - download page if you find there something.

Thank you very much for your answer.

What I need here is to know if NetApp systems are supported for vVol Storage Replication, because I cannot see them on the matrix.

When you find on the NetApp support page the drivers or VM that will support you this then you can install it and it will work. By driver you need for find for your version of ESXi while from V7 the VMware has dome some changes and from V8 they are big changes and there you will not install the the for version 7 or older. The VM I thing should work, while it hooks another way to the vCenter to support it.
