  • 1.  Nested virtualization with Hyper-V does not work with AMD CPU

    I noticed an issue with VMWare Workstation, when the Windows 11 24h2 host uses Hyper-V on an AMD Zen 4 System Visualize amd-v/rvi does not work and I cant make the guests use HVCI, on an older intel laptop this works just fine.

    I have reviewed my firmware settings and all needed seams enabled, so is that a know issue, is there a fix?

    Please confirm.   Trying to use HyperV and VMWare on the host?   Trying to use both on the host is a BAD idea.

    I would use VMWare on the host.   That lets you use either HyperV or VMWare on the guests.

    You may be able to use both on the host if you disable the sandboxing of device drivers by HyperV which happens on the host.

    It is in one of the settings / security   core something....
