    Hi,

As stated from the release notes about Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.18, advanced features such as Git integration is removed for those with legacy licenses. But did anyone else notice that script environments also got removed during the upgrade?

I could only find notice about Git and multi-language (which I though was regarding localization), but in our environment every other script environment except JavaScript is now gone missing and also the option to create script environment in Asset.

I'm waiting for a response from Support, just curious if others have experienced the same.

Loss of feature access after upgrading to Automation Orchestrator 8.18

After upgrading an Automation Orchestrator deployment, that uses an Advanced legacy license, access to advanced features such as Git integration and multi-language support is lost.

Workaround: Update your deployment to use a different license type. If you do not have another license currently available, contact Broadcom Support and request a temporary license. A patch to fix the Advanced license issue is planned for a future release.

    Edit:

OK, I've reread the whole kind and done some googling. So by multi-language support they do mean the script environements:

Automation Orchestrator feature enablement with licenses (vmware.com)

Well, I need to get myself one of those temporary licenses then: :)

Since 8.18 we have the following error sometimes in Aria Orchestrator, is this related/same problem?

your subscription has expired. The core product operations are unavailable. Please contact your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager to renew your license.

    Hi,

Yes, you're right; the multi-language support referenced in the release notes does refer to the script environments. With the Advanced legacy license, it appears only JavaScript is now accessible, and other script environments are restricted.

The best option for now is to contact Broadcom Support to request a temporary license to regain full access to these features. Hopefully, the patch release will address this limitation for legacy licenses soon.

Good luck with your setup, and let us know if the temporary license works!
