    Hi All,

Does anyone know of where the documentation is to detail topologies for aria operations deployments?

Believe it can be as low as 1 x VM for aria operations that has all roles on it such as primary, data etc?

Then there is a 3 VM node deployment that's the primary, replica and data node?

If just one node required for small environment be good to see a diagram of that showing 1 node and 3 node option so its clear on the choice

    Thanks

Yes, you can run it as 1 VM. For more info:

    Hi,

Yes, you can deploy a single node XL configuration with Aria Ops 8.18 which allows monitoring 100K objects with a single node. You can check deployment details at https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Aria-Operations/8.18/Getting-Started-Operations/GUID-49349FD7-7237-4022-A6A5-1B26D7AFC7DF.html

So, you need to assess what you plan to monitor. Is all of your inventory in the same network, will there be any latency if you deploy a cloud proxy or can the collection be done by the the node itself? Sizing guidelines are where you check and see how many objects and metrics you will be able to monitor with a single node and what should be the node's configuration.  Recommending you to analyze the sizing guideline https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleNumber=369262 of the release and to use online  vropssizer.vmware.com which will help to define proper configuration based on your inventory https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?legacyId=2093783
