There's no Metal GPU support for a macOS VM on Workstation.
Broadcom does not support a macOS guest for Workstation due to Apple licensing restrictions. You would have to make modifications to Workstation in violation of Broadcom licensing agreements to allow it to run a macOS guest. Both of which are out of scope for discussion here as this is a Broadcom sponsored forum -- Broadcom could be in legal trouble with Apple if it appears that they're condoning use of macOS in violation of Apple licensing agreements.

Subject: MacOS Sequoia GPU support on VMWare Workstation Pro 17.6.2 (win10x64)
I´ve installed a MacOS Sonoma ISO on VMWare and updated it to Sequoia. After that I´ve installed the VMWare Tools. 4 CPUs, 8GB RAM, 80GB HDD. I can login to Appstore. But the desktop and google maps won´t show (black screen). I think GPU support is the problem. No 3D acceleration.
