Are you passionate about automation, eager to innovate within the VMware ecosystem, and ready to collaborate with community tech enthusiasts?
The VMware {code} Hackathon is your opportunity to dive into innovative projects, learn new skills, and make an impact! This exciting event runs from July to August 2025, culminating in an on-site evening session on Monday, August 25, from 7:00 PM to 11:55 PM Pacific Time in Venetian Ballroom C at the VMware Explore venue.
Why Join?

Work on Your Big Idea: Bring that project you've been dreaming about to life, focusing on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9, Tanzu, PowerCLI, automation, AI integrations, datacenter tools, enhancements, scripts, or GUIs.

Team Up or Go Solo: Create or join a team of 1-10 people. Teams are forming now-suggest ideas, volunteer as a captain, or join an existing team.

Learn and Network: Dive into automation, enjoy pizza and snacks, and connect with experts. All skill levels are welcome!

Showcase and Win: Present your project for a chance to be among the top 3 winning teams and earn prizes (details TBD), plus recognition. Everyone gets a VMware {code} Hackathon T-shirt and swag!

Open Category for Last-Minute Joiners: Can't commit early? Join the Open Category on-site for a low-pressure way to participate, network, and receive a T-shirt (may not be fully judged).
How to Participate

Register: Sign up at https://brcm.tech/hack.

Pre-Event (July – August): Brainstorm ideas, form teams, and start building remotely. Check the blog for team ideas or to volunteer as a captain.

On-Site Event (August 25): Refine your project, pitch in 90-120 seconds, and demo your work. Judging happens from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with awards announced by 11:55 PM.
