  • 1.  iSCSI Path Status 'Not used'

    Hi,

Having a few issues when trying to connect to my iSCSI SAN (using ESXi5.0) - Path Status of the iSCSI Port Groups is showing 'Not used'.  My setup was as follows:

Separate vSwitch for ISCSI.  Within this each iSCSI connection has it's own VMkernel Port (configured with static IP Address and VLAN ID).  I basically followed this set of instructions:

    http://blog.vmpros.nl/2011/07/13/vmware-creating-iscsi-network-in-vsphere-esxi-5-0/

Still getting Path Status not used on all iSCSI connections.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi,

What is the rest of your iSCSI setup like? Any switches?

Is the VLAN also defined for the storage? Can you vmkping or ping at all from the host to the storage or to the other hosts?
