    HiAll, 

    We have VRA 8.11.2 and using infoblox plugin 1.4. Does updating plugin to 1.5 required downtime in VRA?

    I know its compatible but want help if need restart of VRA/downtime to update plugin.

    No downtime required to update or install the plugin that I have experienced.

    Thanks for your response. I have updated the plugin to 1.5. The feature i was looking into is 

    • Added support for creating A & PTR records by specifying Infoblox.IPAM.createAddressRecord and createAddressAndPtrRecords properties.

    I have added Infoblox.IPAM.createAddressRecord and createAddressAndPtrRecords to the properties in plugin VRA intergration. 

    But, the deployment is not creating A and PTR records in Infoblox. 

    Any idea, how to get these records when a VM is deployed through VRA?

    Howdy

    Sorry we have AD look after DNS when the VM joins the Domain.

    However I did have to add "Infoblox.IPAM.Network.enableDns: false" to the blueprint as a property of the Cloud.vSphere.Machine. You could try adding your entries directly into the blueprint to test if the value is not being passed correctly from the plugin I guess.

    Apart from that, I'm afraid I'm not much help.
