How vmware HCI solution compose on HPE Simplivity

Hi ,

i just want to know that , how VMware vSAN licensing on HPE Simplivity , is it true ,we don't need vSAN license if we use vmware HCI on HPE Simplivity because its uses their own technology , and also does anybody have experience on HPE simplivity HCI solution , please guide me the best practices and requirement in term of Simplivity of 5 Nodes.

EUUH,

These are two completely (and competing) different things. SimpliVity is HPEs HCI offering which requires specific HPE hardware and licenses. VMware vSAN is VMware's HCI offering, which requires vSAN licenses and VMware vSAN Certified Hardware.

If you are looking for best practices and guidance around SimpliVity, I recommend going to the HPE website and doing some digging there.

Thanks for reply , that mean vSAN license can't be use , if solution is proposed on HPE simplivity , only need vsphere license , am i right .

If you have not bought vSAN licenses then you don't have vSAN licenses. If you have HPE hosts with SimpliVity than you paid for the HPEs hyperconverged storage solution, which is SimpliVity.
