  • 1.  How to login to new VCF 9.0 Automation instance

    Posted 8 days ago

I just deployed Automation in my lab VCF 9.0 instance and would like to login for the first time. This is my first time using VCF Automation, although I've been using the product since vCAC 5.3. I do have Identity Broker deployed and Identity & Access SSO configured.

Q1: I'm able to browse to the Automation instance but the problem is that I don't know the organization name (it wasn't specified when being deployed).

Q2: I do not know the default user name aka system administrator, e.g. "admin", "configadmin" or "bob".

Q3: What is the difference between https://myVcfAutomation vs https://myVcfAutomation/provider [Ref 1]

Q1: I don't know the organization name since it wasn't specified during deployment.

If you just installed VCF Automation, you should log in as the System organization by default. The username is admin, and the password is the one you set during the deployment process. Once logged in as the system administrator, you can create additional organizations.

Q2: I don't know the default username for the system administrator.

For the GUI and the default organization, the default username is admin.
For SSH access, use the username vmware-system-user.

    Thanks.

Where is this documented? Trust me, I've looked and couldn't find this.
