  • 1.  How to fix "virtualized intel vt-x/ept is not supported on this platform" error in Windows 11 24H2

    Posted Aug 07, 2025 07:56 AM

    Hi!

I'm using Windows 11 24H2 and VMWare Workstation 17.6.4 and i can't run Virtual machines with "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" option enabled.

The EVE-NG virtual machines for example need this.

    I try:

    bcedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Disable Memory Integrity in Core Isolation menu

    dism /online /disable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Hyper-V-All

    Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-Hypervisor

    Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper

    In gpedit.msc:
Administrative Templates -> System -> Device Guard : Turn on Virtualization Based Security: Disabled

I try to add registry keys:

EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity = 0 in DeviceGuard Key

RequirePlattformSecurityFeatures = 0 in DeviceGuard Key

    Nothing Works.

    What's happened with Windows 11 24H2.

    Has anyone could fix this?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello amigo.

This work for me, I don't know if works for Windows 11 but you can try.

First go to the search icon for windows and find the Turn Windows Features on and off.

Then go disable Virtual Machine Platform and Windows Hypervisor Platform options.

    Second go to Device Secutity.

Make sure that the Core isolation option is Off.

    Good luck!
