What you're looking for is PCI passthrough, but VMWare Workstation does not support that. And if it would support that the GPU would need to support device virtualization, otherwise your host would be left without a GPU to display, unless your laptop CPU has integrated graphics as well.

- I have one laptop which has one Nvidia RTX A2000 Laptop GPU, & DirectX 12 & OS is Window 10. Please refer to picture 1
- Vmware workstation Pro 17.6.2 was installed, inside was Ubuntu, please refer to picture 2
- In VMware setting, only has virtual graphics memory, it can't reference real Nvidia GPU, please refer to picture 3
- Even computer has GPU, but I only want this GPU will be used by ubuntu within VMware.
- I tried to add PCI device in vmware setting, but no this option, please refer to picture 4.
- Can you help to tell how to make sure Vmware can enable this GPU? Thanks alot.
