I just loaded newest Debian and indeed copy/paste did not work between guest and host. Nor did copying files. I was using KDE interface. I also loaded Open-vm-tools and that did not help any. Also screen sizing did not work.
I was not impressed with Debian - on Kubuntu and Ubuntu studio all that works without any Tools loading - I mean just by default, with latest or not latest versions.
If not obvious, you can do that by transferring files between guest and host, if you can get this Debian to mount something on your windows-host-network.

Subject: How to copy/paste in a Linux headless guest?
Running VMWare 17.6.4 on Windows 11 Pro. I have created a VM and loaded Debian Linux 13.0 guest OS onto it. This guest is running headless... no desktop installed.
One thing I sorely miss is the ability to copy text from the guest console screen. Is this at all possible?
