ANNO 1800 don't display any text in the UI on VMware Fusion 13.5.0 on both ARM and x86 machines. Both system with macOS 14.1 as host.
When 3D acceleration disabled in the VM the text shows up (see my screenshots).
With 3D acceleration enabled with no UI text the game runs very very smooth - much nicer than in Parallels, but Parallels doesn't have any problem with displaying UI text.

I tried everything on ARM and x86, like:
    - install all latest vcredists
    - changing VM's RAM (16 GB, 24 GB and 32 GB)
    - changing VM's VRAM (2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB)
    - disable 3D - fixes the problem, but unplayable
    - changing resolution (FHD to UHD and some between)
    - manipulating the game's config file
    - reinstalling the game and checksum the game data

    I think it's a bug in VMware Fusion 13.5.0 with 3D acceleration.
Is this forum the right place to report bugs?

    Have almost the same issue.

Upgraded to Sonoma 14.1  -> VmWare Fusion updated to 13.5.0 -> now 3D Graphics now working

Tried to revert to Fusion 13.0.1 and Hardware Compatibility settings from 21 to 20/19 - still not working

    Pleeeeease heeeeelp

Is that an actual supported guest OS?

    Please don't shoot the messenger.

You can indicate that you have an issue in this forum, but there's no guarantee that a VMware engineer will take any kind of action. You might get some helpful hints from other users (this is, after all a user to user forum and not an official VMware support forum), and if you're lucky, there are a couple of engineers that intermittently participate in this forum.

If you really want a VMware engineer to look at it, you have to open a service request. Unfortunately unless you purchased your license within the last 30 days, you'll have to pay to submit a service request.

Now on macOS 14.2.1 as host and Windows 11 23h2 with actual updates. Still the same behavior - no UI font in ANNO 1800 when 3D acceleration enabled in the VM.

Same issue here unfortunately. Mac OS Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60). VMWare Fusion Player Version 13.5.1 (23298085). The game seems to run surprisingly smooth. But no fonts in the UI or anywhere in the game. Running Windows 11.

Are you using Windows 11 x64 guest, or Windows 11 ARM guest?

If possible, please also attach the support bundle here so that we can take a look.

    Thanks!

You generate the support bundle by starting from the Fusion menu bar, then clicking Help > Collect Support Information > Quick. A zip file containing the information will be generated and placed in your desktop folder. Attach that file.

See https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-cis/desktop-hypervisors/fusion-pro/13-0/using-vmware-fusion/configuring-your-virtual-machines/managing-advanced-settings/troubleshooting-your-vm.html in the Fusion documentation for more information.
