  • 1.  fail to create folder on vSAN datastore

    Hi ,

    I setup cluster 4 ESXi 6.5 host and create vSAN datastore. From vSphere web client, I am able to create VM on vSAN datastore, but when browse vsan datastore, click on create folder will give out error

    "

    Cannot complete file creation operation.

    There are currently 2 usable fault domains. The operation requires 1 more usable fault domains.

    Failed to create object.

    "

    In vsan configuration, I did not config fault domain so I suppose each ESXi will have that own default fault domain. I also try set MTU with value 9000, 1500 and still got same error. Hope someone help on this issue.

    figured out issue. 2/4 ESXi host have vmkernel on different VLAN, reconfigure to have same VLAN for all vmkernel adapter and able to create datastore ok.
