Difference between flex and reservation -vcd

I'm not understanding differences between flex and reservation model .i want to know the mechanics jow they allocate resources .and benefits of both

Reservations are primarily targeted when you need an upfront guaranteed allocation of resources, which means what you allocate is fully reserved. Flex will give us fine-grained performance for individual workloads as we can set limits/reservations/shares etc
