  • 1.  Delay in esxcli namespace updates after update?

    Is there a way to have vCenter update/repoll the namespaces it has for a host for esxcli via powercli? 

    I'm updating servers from ESXi 7 to 8, and then afterwards run a round of hardening against them.  The SSH hardening makes use of the new esxcli "system ssh" namespace that was added in 8u2.  

    After updating our servers, powerCLI connections to vCenter don't see the new ssh namespace, although connections directly to the host itself do.  Newly installed servers don't have this issue.

    Did you close and reopen the SSH connection?

    I ended up having to open up a new Powershell window to see the new namespaces.
