the node will not allow user/password login,

if you want to access a Node you should first login to the management server, then

    user the follow

    ssh -i /home/viouser/.ssh/id_rsa viouser@controller01

after login you can su to root  ( root/vmware)

For VIO2.0 the password is set by the administrator  who install the vApp.

for 1.0.x you will find the pasword displayed on the console when you view it through VC web client.

    I have a VIO 2.0 management server.

it does not accept a root logon.

The admin logon does not respond to the password used by the dashboard.

How do  I get root access to modify the VIO implementation?

    Hi shimmo,

There is no direct root access. The password you provided during the VIO vApp deployment is for 'viouser' . Login as 'viouser', and then use sudo to access root.

Also please note that "root/vmware" will work for VIO nodes (like controllers, etc.), but only using vSphere remote console (they won't work via SSH, for SSH you have to go through OMS).

    Best Regards,

    Karol
