I do not know about this error message - maybe somebody else ...
... but looking at your hardware specs, you have Intel there. There shouldn't be a problem with your hardware ...
... but, do this:
- First: create the VM, do NOT load the OS
- Second: change the VM hardware settings to suit. Take all the unnecessary ones out, like USB, Bluetooth. Use NAT networking (not bridged at first). Take 3D acceleration out (you don't need that if you don't have real 3D software)
- Third: make sure that your ISO-file is selected for CD/DVD and taken into boot
- Fourth: Power up your VM
Thus, you have at least a better control to see what is failing, if any.
Fifth: Change the VM settings to something that you need to use and try then booting up.
If that does not work and your ISO-image is good, Uninstall and Install 17.5.2 - that works. That is the last VMware company version.

Subject: Creating Windows 11 - 23H2 or 24HS VM Error -- PKE_E16
I cannot create a VMWare VM for Microsoft Windows 11 x64 using either the 23H2 or 24H2 ISO. I keep getting the error message PKE_E16 _unsuccesful.**** (Unsupported Option).
I am running VMWare ProV17.6.3 Build 24583834 on a Dell XPS8940 computer with 64GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 11 x64 Version 24H2 OS Build: 26100.3775.
What am I doing wrong and am looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
