Steps for Cost Analysis per VM in Aria Automation

    1. Ensure Integration with Aria Operations for Cost

    • Navigate to Cloud Assembly > Infrastructure > Integrations.

    • Verify that vRealize Operations (Aria Operations) is integrated and enabled.

    • Ensure cost data is being pulled into Aria Automation.

    2. Tag and Organize Resources

    • Use projects, deployments, and custom properties/tags to organize VMs.

    • Tags help group VMs by business units, applications, or environments for cost analysis.

    3. Access Cost Data

    • Go to Service Broker > Consumption > Deployments.

    • Click on a specific deployment (VM).

    • View the cost breakdown in the deployment summary pane.

      • You'll see metrics like monthly cost, daily cost, and resource usage (CPU, RAM, storage).

    4. Use Aria Operations Dashboards

    • In Aria Operations, go to Dashboards > Cost and Utilization.

    • View cost per VM, grouped by:

      • Cloud account

      • Project or business group

      • Deployment or resource type

    5. Create Custom Reports (Optional)

    • Use Aria Operations Reports or Custom Dashboards to generate detailed cost reports.

    • Include:

      • VM name

      • CPU/memory/storage cost

      • Total monthly cost

      • Utilization efficiency

    6. Enable Showback/Chargeback (Optional Advanced Feature)

    • Set pricing policies per resource.

    • Map costs to departments or business units.

    • Export reports or enable portal access for business teams.

You'll need to add all your costs into Aria in order for it to calculate the cost.  You will want to add in the info on the cost of yours hardware, licensing, labor, and anything else that should go into the configuration.  After that it can run calculation to figure out the cost per VM.
