Copy paste issue between windows host and VMware Player

I recently installed VMware Workstation 16 Player because I previously used VMware Workstation 15 Player without any problem. Both are free versions. Sometimes the copy and paste between the host and guest OS works without problem in VMware WS 16 Player. Sometimes, the paste is off especially when I try to copy from guest to the host. It simply pastes the previously copied files from host to host.  My host is MS Windows 11 Pro for WS and guest is ubuntu-22.04.4-desktop-amd64. Any help will be appreciated.

1) Please power off and then power on the Guest VM

2) On the Login screen of the Ubuntu 22.04 VM where Password is prompted, click on the Gear icon on the bottom right and Select "Ubuntu on Xorg" and proceed with logging in.

3) Inside the Guest VM go the location where the file you intend to copy to Host is placed, open that location in File Explorer view and try to copy the file to the Host and update if the issue still persists.
