  • 1.  Continues update service activation policy and start service tasks on ESXi 8.0.2

    Hi,

We receive "update service activation policy" and "start service" tasks continuously every 30 seconds after upgrade some of ESXi host from 7.0.3 to 8.0.2 and these tasks are completed successfully. I tried to stop hbrsrv service and set its policy as manually. However, the settings changes immediately as default. (running and start with host)

The service (hbrsrv) seems stop on some of upgraded ESXi hosts and we do not get these tasks. By the way, we are replicating VMs to recovery site successfully from these hosts even if the service stop. I guess, hbr-agent service is able to handle the job.

Why vSphere Replication appliance triggers these tasks ? How can we disable it ?

    Thanks.

Restarting the vSphere Replication Appliance resolved the issue.
