  • 1.  'Connection reset'. when configuring VM for replication

    Posted Apr 04, 2013 06:39 PM

    Hi,

I have deployed and configured VR succesfully but when I try to replicate a VM I'm getting the following error:

Configure a virtual machine for replication

    VM001

VRM Server generic error. Please check the documentation for any

troubleshooting information. The detailed exception is: 'Connection reset'.

I have checked network connectivity and it is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Fernando

When you say configure the VR, can you elaborate more on what you have done? Also could you specify which version of VR are you using?

I have deployed VR Appliance in both sites. Then in vsphere web client, vsphere replication I have succesfully paired with the remote site.

When I select any virtual machine, and try to configure replication, It starts with "Configuring replicantion...." and fails with "'Connection reset'. when configuring VM for replication".

    Thank you

Looks like there is connectivity problem between your sites.

Could you please unpair the sites, logout and try to pair and configure replication from the other/remote site?

Did you get the same result?

Hi, I have made some progress. I've change vCenters interface MTU from 1500 to 1400 and it worked.... well it seems to work but it's stuck at "Initial Full Sync" and it doesn't replicate anything.....
