    Cannot start VEEAM Backup after change vCenter 6.0 to 6.7 - okay is 6.5
    VEEAM Backup and Replication 9.5
    Version: 9.5.0.823

    host
    VMware ESXi 6.0.0 build-3073146

    SSO server 6.0 from 2016 year
    Install vCenter Server with an Embedded Platform Services Controller
    VMware-VCSA-all-6.0.0-3040890
    OKAY for all 7 years

    SSO server 6.5 (download 2022-05)
    Install vCenter Server with an Embedded Platform Services Controller
    VMware-VCSA-all-6.5.0-19757181
    OKAY now

    SSO server 6.7 (download 2022-05)
    Install vCenter Server with an Embedded Platform Services Controller
    VMware-VCSA-all-6.7.0-19832974
    Error running backup of the same test Windows 10 empty VM
    20.07.2022 22:35:34 :: Processing Win10at67 Error: Ссылка на объект не указывает на экземпляр объекта.

    My steps - one-by-one - I need to turn from vCenter 6.0 to 6.5 or 6.7 because of Adobe Player end-of-work

    1. open vCenter 6.0 and delete the host (there is only one host) from inventory
    1.1. shut down the vCenter 6.0
    2. install vCenter 6.7 on the same host with FQDN (and reverse DNS too) - another than 6.0
    2.1. add the host to the new vCenter 6.7 - update certificates and all
    2.2. reboot the vCenter 6.7 - to avoid <Unable to connect to the MKS: internal error> of [VMware vSphere Client 6.0] - now okay
    3. add new vCenter 6.7 credentials in VEEAM Backup and Replication 9.5
    3.1. Remove unavailable VM from vCenter 6.0 and add the same VM from vCenter 6.7
    4. Run the same task and have this error

    The same 1-2-3 steps for vCenter 6.5 is okay - task make full backup (it cannot understand the VM is the same)

    You need to update Veeam B&R. As you can see in https://www.veeam.com/kb2443, your currently installed Veeam B&R version (9.5 Update 1) supports vSphere versions up to 6.5.

    Well. I read the Veeam Backup & Replication support for VMware vSphere - and now in doubt.

    I have VEEAM Backup and Replication 9.5 Version: 9.5.0.823 - and VMware-VCSA-all-6.0.0-3040890 - now.

    It works okay for many years.

    I tested VMware-VCSA-all-6.5.0-19757181 - the latest 6.5

    The KB2443 points VEEAM B&R build 9.5.4.2866 fot it - but current 9.5.0.823 worked okay for me - what shall I do ?

    Shall I install VMware-VCSA-all-6.5.0-7515524 or even earlier - or I must update B&R - this i do not want to do ?

    Running a vSphere version later than the one listed for a given Veeam B&R version/build does not necessarily mean that it won't work. However it's not supported, i.e. you may run such version/build combinations at your own risk.
