    I've ten Hosts (HP DL365 G5) two Fiber Switches (Qlogic Sanbox 5600) and a Storage (HP MSA2324fc - 24x 146 GB Disks 15k).

    An this host's we planed more or less 60 vm's.

    But now, witch is the best way to creat vdisks to the storage?

    My first idea was this configration. But i read, that this configuration had not the best performace (iops per disk). The last disk was a spare disk, but i don't know, maybe only one disk is not enough?

    I don't need realy high performance with raid 10, raid 5 or maybe raid 6 i don't know is enough...

    Witch configuration is the best?

    Thanks<!-- BEGIN attachments -->

    You should create RAID for VMs the same way as you create RAID for physical machines.

    What type of IO load would be in your environment?
