  • 1.  After run VMMark 2.52 no score with Deploy

    Hi,

    Would you help to check result of logs?

    What happen with DeployVM?

    I had tried use manual way to do DeployVM and success but I don't understood why no score under Deploy of part.

    My configure:

    The Storage use 3 LUNs of FC storage and name as vmmark, vmmark2, vmmark3.

    Physical Server for Primeclient.

    vCenter55 , client0, client1 was VM in same Physical Server.

    2tiles of VM put in 2 SUT as Physical Server.

    Hello,

    The tools version in your 'DeployTemplate' are current.  They need to be out of date for the deploy operation to work as expected.  Can you try downgrading them (see the Benchmarking guide for instructions) and trying again?  Additionally, the lun "vmmark3" is only visible to one host, this won't be a problem now, but if you scale up the number of hosts it will be.

    Hi Joshua,

    Are you mean STAF tool version?

    If yes , the version is 3.4.13.

    BTW, I checked the VM by DeployTemplate. And found have installed with STAF 3.4.13 but did not see STAF launched.

    Please advise.

    Hi Mark,

    No, I mean the VMware tools within the template used for the deploy operations.  See the section titled "Prepare the Template for the Deploy Operation" in the current version of the VMmark Benchmarking Guide for full instructions, that should have all the information you need.

    Hi Joshua,

    I run benchmark was success w/o warning and error after change vmware tools version from 5.5 to 5.0.

    Thanks for your help .

    BTW, I found one failure of deploy. And I can't found any failure log with deploy. (Log fils as attached.)

    Is it normal or failure?  Please advise.

    I checked deploy relative log did not found failure.

    But found failure in tile score.(screen-shot as attached.)

    From what I can see there was one instance where the Deployed VM did not respond to the initial ping within the required time (600 seconds).   There was another failure later in the run (not within the results phase).  You might try moving your template and/or the target Lun to faster storage and see if that helps but considering it only happened the two times, it might not be a huge issue.
